Thin Film Optical Coatings
Optical Coatings Sort Light Energy and Control Performance
PHYSICAL VAPOR DEPOSITION THIN FILM OPTICAL COATINGS modify the reflection and transmission properties of a substrate material as they are deposited onto the surface of an optical component. Using vacuum deposition technology, we deposit a variety of materials to enhance the spectral properties of an optical system.
BROADBAND STANDARD METALLIC [UV - VIS - IR]
- Wavelength range: UV | VIS | IR
- Metal base layer with overcoat(s) for broadband high reflectivity.
ENHANCED METALLIC COATINGS [VIS - IR]
- Wavelength range: VIS | IR
- Metal base layer with dielectric layers and/or stacks for maximum reflectivity from Visible to IR
ULTRAVIOLET COATINGS [UV - VIS]
- Wavelength range: UV | VIS
- Metal base layer typically combined with dielectric layers and/or stacks to optimize reflectivity from 200 – 600 nm
DICHROIC COLD COATINGS [UV - VIS - IR]
- Wavelength range: UV | VIS | IR
- Dielectric coatings designed to reflect short wavelengths
HOT MIRROR COATINGS [VIS - IR]
- Wavelength range: VIS | IR
- Dielectric coatings designed to reflect longer and IR wavelengths
COVERT FILTERS [VIS - IR]
- Wavelength range: UV | VIS | IR
- Dielectric coatings designed to reflect short wavelengths
